The Jungle Book (2016 film) – Watch It. Now!

If you have ever been a child you got to watch this movie. You need no review!

The Jungle Book means so much to all of us that we would love to get back to being a child all the time. But then there are always exceptions who never grew up and may actually never do. Look at me 🙂

I saw this movie in English language with English subtile and in 3D.

This movie is not really for the very very small kids but for a little grownups and then the fully grown ups. The animation is so beautifully done that you might get lost inside the movie with so much thrill going on. Also, since most of the scenes and the real action happens in the night, it might just scare the little ones, hence be ready to pacify your kids in case they get scared and start crying.

All the characters are phenomenally life-like. Be it Sher Khan, Baloo, Bagheera or the lazy king of Bandar log. The jungle itself, with such exquisitely designed trees, colours, taking care of finer details of the jungle and portraying the same so beautifully done! The movie is a visual treat to say the least!

I only wish (like all other times) the 3D versions of such films have more brightness. With glasses on our eyes the current brightness goes lower hence the movies should be produced with extra brightness. Also, the audio (especially the vocals) could have been better. Let me know if you also have a similar feedback.

The TV series we all grew up watching!
The real star (and an amazing find) of the movie is Mowgli himself. Played by Neel Sethi. He is a new comer and an Indian American. Disney auditioned more than thousand kids to look for the right fit. The auditions went on for months in various location including America, England, New Zealand and Canada. Neel was chosen for his witty personality and mature outlook towards life. And he is just 12 years young! He is amazing.

If you are interested in watching the movie in Hindi you will get to hear voices of Priyanka Chopra, Om Puri and Nana Patekar etc. I have a feeling it may not be as impactful as the English version. But you be the judge. You may watch the movie in both the languages! It will be fun every time you watch and that’s a surety!

To rekindle the child inside you, here’s the Jungle Book song we all grew up with:

Have fun at the movies!!
