The movie keeps you gripped from the start till the end.
Its about a secret drone attack mission. A mission that was authorised only for capture of a terrorist when it was approved. It soon became a mission to kill given the change in the circumstances. As soon as the objective of the mission changed, this thriller got that much more gripping.
Since there was a partnership involved between the Britishers and the Americans, in carrying out this mission, it soon became a political game to approve such a change in plan in the light of new discoveries.
The mission was to be carried out in Africa, the mission was moderated by Britishers, the drone was American, the pilots operating the drone (which would drop the missiles eventually) were Americans, the strike target house where terrorists were planning a suicide bombing had an American citizen, a little local girl selling bread outside that house etc. made the decision to drop the missiles much complicated that just saying ‘go ahead’.
This 100 minutes movie showcases the best of how countries work together in such military operations, how ministers are put on a spot to take a decision, who live upto the expectations and who succumb, how a guaranteed loss of life is weighed against an expected loss of 80 lives, how the final decision to release a missile from a drone rests on the pilot who is operating it from many miles away, how the use of drones (of various types and sizes with amazingly high resolution cameras) helps such missions to take shape and over all how such critical missions can be carried out in such detail all siting inside the comfort of their offices/military operation zones, sipping coffee!
A highly recommended watch.
