Ten ways to save money…

You must have read thousands of such articles claiming to be the best in showing you the path of so called better saving patterns. This article too may look the same until you find out that making anything work, starts from home itself. Well as it’s said ‘God is in the details’ let’s see how we can save money by looking into the details of our daily life. See it’s that simple, no useless gyan 🙂
  1. Redeem your parking ticket after your purchase.
  2. Believe in Loyalty Points Programs. For a better understanding watch the Oscar nominated movie – “Up in the Air” 🙂
  3. Do not pay your credit card (CC) bill until a day before the last day.  (Make sure you set up an alert for such a payment or set up a payment date every month, after reading the statement carefully). If you are paying your CC outstanding from a different bank then you better do this 3 days in advance.
  4. Walk down to your apartment grocery store instead of taking out your car. Believe me, the time and money you waste in getting your car out is not worth it.
  5. Attach bill payments (water/electricity/mobile/telephone) to your credit card or bank account, which ever gives you a better loyalty points.
  6. Check for these wherever you invest – entry load/exit load/commission/ brokerage/securities tax etc.
  7. Save every month, be it Rs 500 or Rs. 10,000, it’s not about the amount it’s about the habit.
  8. For your investments: Always consult people whom you trust and have current financial knowledge.
  9. Be on top of your bank balances; know exactly how much money you have in all your bank accounts sitting idle.
  10. Knowledge is Power. Keep yourself abreast with the tit bit knowledge on money matters.
Happy saving !
