Never thought I will become like this…thinking of making money (in all the legal ways that is) and my wife thinks of spending it in all possible ways:(
Ever thought how your money can make better money? I always thought investing in a tax saving MF is the best way to do this, but I wonder if there are better ways? May be an FD/Liquid MF Fund. (looks like the more I think of these things my wife come out with newer ways of spending it!!) Poor Adi.
Recently she started a rigid gyming and diet session, but looks like within 10 days she wants to go out on a long drive…and you know what happens when you go on a long drive…first of all…no gym then no regulated food…then my budgeting takes a back seat..not that am a saving maniac but there has to be some logic to what you do…atleast give a month’s time for a regress diet plan…things derailed even before the rail was put on the track .. bad joke i suppose…anyways moving forward.
I have not been a market player as well…but i was when the stock prices was rushingtowards 20K …. I guess during those days every jackass thought he wasborn tobe a trader and is doing well…may be even patting his own back forcarrying out sucha fine business of making money….may be a change in career plan….later (coming back on earth) I realized that all that I made isequivalent to loss am in right now (in my demat account) so much so forthe genius in me 🙁 so stock markets was not for me after all !!
Real Estate should be for me in the next 10 years or so…myparents keep asking me to buy a flat in Bangalore…as if its askinghis child to buy a new baniyaan, I have a simple calculation – for ahome loan for a lakh the EMI would be around 1000 or more, a max of 20kof EMI is what I can afford so if you are looking for a house of letssay 60lakhs then 40L has to given as down payment..isn’t it?
Nowthe big question – Do I have a small change of 40 lakhs in my pocket tobuy a flat and then also afford a EMI of 20K everymonth….hmmmmmmmm….nice question…hmmmmmm…
So what should I do? continue with MF/FD/Bank investments? Till the time I win a lottery I think this is good enough for me!!
Thank you Tarun. Nidhi-i will keep u posted:).Sreesha – she will spend it provided I win it 🙂
