1 Line Review: Mardaani ko dard nahin hota.
Mardaani is partially based on true incidents. Kidnapping and human trafficking of teenage girls. Rani Mukherji is a senior inspector and she gets behind the syndicate when her adopted child (a street beggar) Pyaari gets kidnapped.
How the movie unfolds from there on makes Mardaani a thrilling and an edge of the seat entertainment. Rani is at her best and suits such roles. No One Killed Jessica is another example, if you have not watched it, I highly recommend NOKJ.
Best past of the movie is that it has no songs where the inspector is romancing her husband/ boy friend, unlike other police officers from Bollywood – Singham and Chulbul Pandey to name a few! 🙂
Another good find is the villein of the movie Tahir Bashin, only his 2nd movie and he did pretty well.
The movie has interesting twists and turns plus it makes you think about the kidnapping and human trafficking which has spread in the country like a web.
