1 Line Review: Go watch Singham again, instead.
Yes, go watch Singham again, it still is more fun than this loud useless return! Two hours and twenty minutes of been-there-done-that loudness and stale story from Mr. Rohit Shetty, Bajirao Singham and the gang.
You don’t even get to see flying Scorpios – double loss I tell you. Every vehicle in the movie is from Tata (and not from Mahindra) even Nano has a good role! No flying Nano, sorry folks.
Story, direction and production all done by Rohit Shetty, only acting in movies is left for him. Going by his Khatron Ke Khiladi’s performance he will start acting in movies soon. May be he should come as Scorpio Safari Singh (if a dog’s name can be Entertainment then this name is very much possible).
Returning to Singham Returns. Please note that you should carry ear plugs or cotton for your ears. I did not have these with me hence my wife and I had to put tissue paper balls in our ears. Yes, it was that loud. Especially the fight sequences. They were non-creative and total bore.
Also note that this is not a hindi movie. Yes, its true. Its Hindi and Marathi movie. Many dialogues are in marathi. Even many of the punchlines where you expect someone to spit out a good line you are left in lurch because you do not understand what he/she just said! Subtitles anyone?
Also, get ready to watch Bajirao and the rest of the police force walk towards the camera for not less than one-fifth of the movie time! Yes, Rohit Shetty did not have much to write so he wrote, “walk toward the camera for 10 minutes, I will play good music”. Now repeat 5 times!! Also, the shooting/fight scenes were very mundane and involved mindless gun shots to irritate you to the core.
CID fans would love Daya getting a good role here. But then ACP Pradyuman would have given me a better paisa vasool. May be they should produce a movie now and call it … may be, CID Returns!
Anyways, am done watching Shettyji ki movies. I hear he is now making Golmaal 4. Run as fast as you can.
