1 Line Review: Ok, no more sequels. Please!
The Jurassic Park movie series has now become The Spiderman series. Which kinda lost its essence when they started producing The ‘Amazing’ Spiderman. On second thoughts, Jurassic folks are worse off as they have a boundary (literally) in which they have to generate all the thrill. Each and every time. Too tough to match the expectations with the limited scope.
Am a movie buff and enjoyed this one as well but to be frank, am guessing we are done with Dinosaur Parks now! Dinosaurs se darr nahin lagta saheb, predictability se lagta hai.
The biggest cheering factor for the Indians in Jurassic World is Apna Paan Singh Tomar a.k.a Irrfan Khan who is the owner of the park. But frankly I did not find him suit the role. Or may be I judged him as I last saw him in Piku, as a taxi driver! 🙂
Jurassic World suffers from near zero novelty and predictability. There is hardly anything new to make the script go wow. Only thing they could have done (and did) was with 3D and special effects. In the Indian context, that too lost out (as I have always said) since Indian audi’s are way too far from advancement in showcasing a 3D movie with all its zeal. All movies get dull and and glasses are not of good quality.
Having said that, Jurassic World has its share of thrill and excitement. The Gyro-sphere is a cool toy, kids engagement with the first Jurassic Park’s Jeep establishes an emotional connect, the revelation of the ingredients in the biggest dinosaur that they made, has a good impact.
All in all, its a good masala movie but lacks the thump due to its own limitations. Go for it if you have nothing else to do. I would still recommend Tanu Weds Manu Returns or Dil Dhadhakne Do instead.
