Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Movie Review

1 Line Review: Thrilling and Intense!

Disclaimer: I have not seen any of the other movies in the Planet of the Apes series.

Guess that was the reason why I enjoyed it. It did not start well for me but within the first 15 minutes I was glued to the story. You should watch it for the amazing special effects and top of the world acting. Did I mention special effect?

A deadly virus goes out of control and only handful of humans are left on the planet and so are the apes. Apes have evolved and learned to speak (most of them). The first time the Apes leader – Caesar speaks will give you goosebumps. The story line is gripping and keeps you on the edge. I think my heart kept beating faster than the average rate throughout the movie, would like to give most of the credit to special effects.

Not just intense, this movie was funny as well, I burst into laughter when I first saw Apes riding horses. It looked way too funny. Towards the end you will also get to see WWF between the apes. Full-on Fight.

Don’t know why and how but the entire story kind of seems to be a Bollywood movie plot. Love, betrayal, fight, love again. Ok, kill me now.

And yes, the movie is in 3D and it was useless. 2D is better.

Important: Do not take young children with you, they might get too scared.
