1 Line Review: There’s no baby in here. Its a no-nonsense movie.
“They don’t want to die for the country, they want to live for the country”. A solid introduction by Danny, this movie is a story about an elite task force which means only real business and nothing else. Has one and half songs only, a half song plays for 2 minutes and another plays at the end when credit rolls (ask me how much I loved this fact).
Akshay Kumar looks dashing as always. The only actor who carries out comic roles (Hera Pheri is my all time fav comedy movie of Akshay) and serious roles with the same perfection. Danny, Anupam Kher, Rana Daggubati, Sushant Singh and Madhurima Tuli gave flawless performances.
The movie opens with a long chase and fight sequence in Istanbul, this is typical of James Bond movies and hence I loved it more. This long fight sequence has good camera angles and fight was intense. The movie starts off fast paced but few scenes are longer than required. This justifies the two hour forty minutes of run time. Baby should have been at-least 30 minutes shorter.
Loved another fight sequence between Tuli and Sushant. Loved her moves (that too in a salwar kameez), am sure she trained a lot for this sequence.
The movie strangely related to last year’s superhit Hollywood movie – ARGO. The climax would have increased your heartbeats even more if it was made a little more fast paced.
Overall I was happy to see such a movie coming up in the Hindi Film Industry. Wishing them good luck for many more.
Most funny scene is when the Minister’s secretary gets slapped. Wait for it! 🙂
