When the world’s richest man’s sixteen year old grandson is kidnapped and the man is only thinking about the ‘tax benefits’ that he may or may not get on the ransom money, then you know, ‘All The Money In The World’ cannot save such a kid!
That’s the movie plot for you.
Mr. Getty is the richest man in the world and he feels everyone else is trying to get small small parts of his wealth taken off from him. Including previous plots of his grandson’s kidnapping attempts. But his daughter-in-law wants no parts of it and plans to get things sorted herself when her son gets kidnapped for real.
Only until she cannot do it herself and hence unwillingly asks for Mr. Getty’s help.
The movie run time of almost two and half hour was just too much I thought, as the story line (even though it was amazing) was moving way to slow.
Fun fact: Mr. Getty’s role was actually being played by Kevin Spacey but after he got involved in the sexual allegations, all the scenes where he was involved was reshot with Christopher Plummer, just a month before the release. And I must say it would have come out much better with Kevin, if only…
Am a big fan of the Web series ‘House of Cards’ (Netflix) and if you need proof on how well Kevin can play a subtle negative role then this series will give you all the answers.
Am going with 3 stars for All the money in the world. Its a good watch but not extraordinary.
I don't know why people are so selfish that they don't even care about their kids but money. It seems like an amazing movie on the reality of this cruel world I have not watched it but will surely!!
