1 Line Review: A typical Hollywood Gross Comedy.
If it was not for the hype (Sony Pictures systems got hacked last month and FBI feels it has something to do with this movie), I would have never even known such a movie has released, forget watching it! Well, on second thoughts I would have watched it anyways 🙂
The Interview sounds like Seth Rogen’s dream project, he has written, directed, produced and acted in this movie! Its a comedy movie about a TV show which secures a chance to interview North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un. CIA involves itself into this drama and asks the host (James Franco) of this show (Skylark Tonight) to kill the leader during the interview!! Job was accepted but what really happened (the roller coster) is for you to watch.

The movie has its grossness and cheap comedy parts but at times its genuinely funny. The actual interview of the dictator is gripping and how Skylark manoeuvres the answers and asks the right hard hitting questions hits the bulls eye. The interview has been given a comical sense but asks the right stuff.

Randall Park, who plays the role of Kim, the 31 year old dictator has been shown as shy and sheepish. His love for Katy Parry (especially the song firework) is unparallel 🙂 Randall does a great job of portraying the role of the leader of the most dangerous, dubious and unpredictable country.
1. Its said that this dictator and his family not only rule the country physically but psychologically as well. They make their people believe whatever they feel like. For eg. as shown in this movie Kim has made people believe that he does not pee or poop since he recycles all his energies! With whatever I have read about this country, this theory might actually be true and people would follow it. Atleast are forced show that they do.
2. Another known fact is that everyone, absolutely everyone in the country has to cry out loud (literally) at known dates when the nation has to grief their leaders death.
3. And the best one – America is planning a war against them and North Korea is gearing up to take the Americans down. This is made to believe for decades now.
This movie at best would have got 2 stars, but for Randall and the near truth depiction of North Korean situation made me give 1 extra star.
