1 Line Review: Puppy love presented in a grand way. Loved it!

Frankly, this movie reminded me of my school days! Yes, the days when the boys in my class came in Ferrari and the girls wore all the branded clothes from around the world. Yup, those were the days!
Well, Student of the year (SOTY) is a fairy tale movie and it should be enjoyed in that taste only, which I did and loved every minute of it. Yes, I am saying this. I had very low expectations from the movie thinking it’s a movie with all newcomers and the best they could do is average. Well, guess what I was wrong!
All the 3 new comers Varun Dhawan, Sidharth and Alia Bhatt have acted extremely well (knowing it’s there 1st movie). Interesting to know that both the heroes assisted Karan Johar in the making of ‘My Name is Khan’, now that’s some start to your career! Alia Bhatt ofcourse is the younger daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and she has already got a huge fan following at an age of 19. What-a-life! 🙂
As the title suggests, this movie is about earning the SOTY award and it’s a classy fight till the end, more like the 1992 mega hit ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’. Has the expected love triangle, roothna, manana etc. but the person who will surprise you is Ms. Sana Saeed! Now, if you remember Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, you will remember Rani Mukherji’s daughter – Anjali, right? Well guess what, this girl is a grown up now & is in this movie. Interesting.
All the songs are fabulous (plays in my car all the time), the cinematography is awesome and as expected in a Karan Johar movie, location, clothes, style and sexiness gets 10 out of 10!
Go for it or grab a DVD, it’s a fun ride all the way! And ya, watch Rishi Kapoor giving you are good laugh!
