Looper Review

Looper is a Sci-Fi movie which involves time travel, life in future, simultaneous sharing of screen space by the same character with 30 years of difference and shot almost entirely in the night.

In simple words its a movie about an  assassin who kills people from the future. Yes, they get the exact time when they will have to kill this person, at the same designated location. The man who is about to die is tele-ported back in time by a time machine, which is not yet invented, but will be, in the future.

Sounds simple yeah? Yes, very simple, wait till the assassin gets himself (from the future) to shoot at!  What does he do? Things get interesting from here. But ya, you will love the movie only if you are a sci-fi movie fan else give it a miss.

Now the interesting last part of the movie involved a very cute child with superb acting skills and he is the ‘rainmaker’ (you will know about it when needed). Do watch very carefully, he will entertain you to the core!

Joseph Gordon Levitt is the main hero and his older version is played by the Mithun da of Hollywood – Bruce Willis. If Joseph look familiar to you then it’s because he was the Arthur in ‘Inception’ and ‘John Blake’ in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. And he acts pretty good, I must day. Bruce Willis enters very late in the movie and his character has an integral part to play, but then this part could have been performed by any other actor as well, the Die Hard protagonist was not really needed here! 🙂

I go with 2.5/5, it’s the kind of movie which will get repeated on Indian movie channels, very soon.
