Star Wars: The Force Awakens

1 Line Review: This awakening is average.

Yes, I was expecting more. To give you a benchmark, I was expecting more thrill than what Guardians of the Galaxy gave me. After all its a Star Wars movie (with a great name comes greater responsibilities). The droid (pictured below) was the only funny part and whom I enjoyed watching thoroughly. I would also like to admit that am not really a great star wars fan, still I was looking for a good thriller when I went in. There was thrill and adventure no doubt, but it did lack that pinch of masala which makes any dish that much more desirable!

Having said that, you will not get bored in the movie. I enjoyed the chemistry between Poe Dameron (I almost heard Doremon!) and the stormtrooper FN-2187 whom Poe renamed as Finn. Later the chemistry between Finn and the beautiful Rey also became cute. And then, when Han Solo and Chew appeared on the screen then the fun barometer increased!

The movie is in 3D and there was no need for it. As always, I was not happy with the effects performance. This time I was particularly not happy with the multiplex – PVR Premiere, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon, NCR. I was seated in the 2nd last row and I could hear the music from an adjacent audi! That’s too bad for the name PVR has achieved in the market.

You can give it a dekkho.
