Life of a family with a 3 year old kid

  • Every place you go to, needs to be kid friendly ONLY.
  • If you are in a mall for food/ shopping/ work, there has to be a priority given to kid’s requirements FIRST, everytime you visit.
  • The kid needs to go to a play area FIRST then only you can do other stuff (actually you can be hopeful only that he stays with you when you do things which are of no interest to him) , in a most realistic case the kid will continue to request/ ask/ shout/ cry/ cry+shout (in that order) for the stuff the kid wants to do.
  • Until the time the kid picks on something else (again) and you are dragged there.
  • If you were hungry and thought could catch some lunch/dinner, you should keep munching something until you actually have your meal, else you might die of hunger.
  • At home also, you NEED to revolve around your kid.
  • All discussion will be kid related. Directly or indirectly.
  • TV will run cartoon channels most of the time, if you change channel while the kid is around, you are dead.
  • If you are siting on a place where the kid plays (even if the entire room is empty) then you have to make that space free ASAP else, again you are dead.
  • Making a kid eat is as tough as making a cow fly.
  • You CANNOT be sleeping (or even taking rest, forget sleeping) when the kid is playing, how dare you even think about it.
You have to do all of the above, all day, day in day out. All the time.
[Disclosure: I do not have kids, this is a learning from my surroundings]
