1 Line Review: Funny and thrilling (gross at times) but not a bad one time watch.
As much as it was supposed to be an action movie, I kept laughing almost all the time. Not because it was not good, but because almost all the scenes had a good sense of humour. Kingsman is a secret service agency where men and women work towards reducing crime and operate thru a taylor shop. The movie is based on a comic book and is directed by the same person who made X-Men.
When an agent dies in a mission the Kingsman starts recruitment for a replacement and incidentally the son of the dead agent gets a chance to become a Kingsman himself. This recruitment as well as an ongoing case that the Kingsmen are investigating runs in parallel as a story line in the movie.
Samuel L Jackson, a rich man who has evil plans for the mankind is the funniest. The veteran Kingsman Colin Firth is the man of the movie and his fight scene at the bar is an epic scene (do not get up too fast when the credit rolls, you will see more of this). Then the new trainee Eggsy (Taron Egerton) has played his part very well. One of the funniest scenes is when Eggsy choses a pug as his pet thinking its a bull dog!
There are scenes which get gross but then it does not really look that bad. The way its presented, music and the visualisation shows the effort to make it look less gross. Climax has a lot it and you will know what I mean.
The opening scene (on the hills of Argentina) will make you sit up!
Have fun. I would join if they are recruiting now 🙂
