Go Goa Gone Review

1 Line Review: Go Go Goasome! Hilarious to the core!

This movie is funny to the core! Except for a few abuses in-between (which could have been done without but they have been timed well hence makes this funny movie funnier), this is a laugh riot.

The trailers gave a feel of Delhi Belly 2. But then the movie started giving good paisa vasool fun in every minute. The zombie concept has never been portrayed in this manner, ever in any movie (except ofcourse if it’s the Scary Movie series).

This is a story of 3 roommates – Kunal Khemu, Vir Das and Anand Tiwari. Kunal and Vir latch on to their 3rd roommate who is going for a business meeting to the mecca – Goa. The story of these 2 fellows who have been dumped in their respective love lives and have been trying too hard, is worth the watch! Every scene is filled with funny dialogues.

In Goa they meet the movie ka heroine Luna (Puja Gupta, Miss India 2007 and Miss Universe 9th place) who apparently is also in Vir Das’ facebook friend list but he did not recognize her as he has more than 2000 people in his friend’s list. Now that sent a shock wave into my spine, I too have more than 2000 friends on My Facebook! 🙂

Moving on, Luna tells everyone to join a Russian Mafia Rave Party in the evening on an island. And what happens next is awesome fun! After consuming a different kind of drug, all guests who took them turns into Zombies by the next morning! Ready to feed on living human flesh only.

This Russian Mafia ka boss is Saif Ali Khan a.k.a Boris (pronounced as baa-ri-iss), he helps these 4 souls in coming out of this island on that lone boat on which these boys came.

I have never seen Kunal Khemu acting so flawlessly, he is damn funny (takes the cake among all). Vir Das is a great stand up comedian but he still needs to hone his skills in acting, he is good but since I have seen him perform live in a stand up comedy show, I know he has potential for much more. Anand the 3rd roommate is equally good. Luna is ok, since its only her 2nd movie after Faltu, I don’t have much to comment on.

Mr. Boris, is very good in this Russian Mafia’s leader role. His favourite dialogue – I keel dead people. Few of his scenes are extremely hilarious, like the dumb charades scene.

Last but not the least, the zillion zombies in the movie running all over the island with blood all over, hats off to them. They have done a fine job, especially the ladies. Even though it’s a plot for a horror movie, you will see how things turn funny every minute.

Has 3 good songs – Khooni Monday, slowly slowly and the babaji ki booti (this plays in the end, don’t leave the theatre too soon!).

Over all it’s a laugh riot. Go for it!
