1 Line Review: Well, not funny anymore!
Osama is long gone and jokes on his death became state in the first movie itself. Though I loved that one (Tere Bin Laden, 2016), the so called sequel came way too late. In 2016 if you are making a movie on Osama’s death then you must have been living under a rock for a very long time.
The movie starts off good. The 1st half is funny and at times ever super hilarious (terrorist participating in an Olympics of sorts to win a suicide vest) but the 2nd half bores you to death. So much so that the cast themselves starts looking bored. The star cast of the first movie makes appearance to add on to the masala but they act like they were not paid well enough.
Frankly, the storyline itself was too weak to be made into a movie. In the current bandwagon of web series and 5/10 minute spoof videos, this one actually belongs there. Why waste 110 minutes when you can do better in a 10 minute short and impactful video?
Special mention: The person playing Obama was awesome, his accent and facial expressions were super. Watch out that rap song, ingenious.
Final word: I think you should wait for the movie to come up on TV, it would be a ok watch while having your dinner. Not really worthy going to a movie hall for this.
