Movie marathon….

Yes that’s rite, it has been a movie spree for the last two weeks – Jail, This is it, Ajab Prem ki gazab kahani Paranormal Activity and Kurbaan. Well, this is not a movie review page but if I spent that much on watching movies then I might as well talk about it, what say? 🙂

JAIL
This is a DVD material, Neil gave a very average performance, always looked as if he is a mimicry artist, few hard hitting messages, sometimes a good act. My rating – ‘OK material’!

Some back ground before I share my thoughts on this movie – I was in class 8th when a school friend got a big Sonodyne music player with only 1 free cassette – Dangerous,(I did not have a music player at home then, until my brother built one 🙂 yes he is an engineer/scientist material but he did economics instead,) coming back –  both had no clue who MJ is or was, by the way. As we wanted to listen to the music player all day (it was new, a craze, the only one in the locality, with 10 preset equalizers, 2 big soundboxes ect..) we kind of heard it over and over again a thousand times….only after a year when we got cable saw the man himself and I have been a fan since then (from the time I first heard ‘jam’).
Now the review – as the name suggests -THIS IS IT u need to see it to believe it that he was a perfectionist, he knew each of his tune to the perfection, could dance all day without complaining and still feel he could do better, he was kind to all, always appreciative of all his support crew, support dancers…i can go on all day…
This is a movie of his rehearsals between March-June 09. U will love the way the rehearsals are performed and I don’t know what else to tell…u SHOULD watch it…to get mesmerized.

Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahani –
Good one but 1 time watch. Ranbir did a good job, katrina was at her usual best (the most sexy/attractive/lovely actress in Bollywood)!  Its a very family kinda movie…one time watch, if u get a dvd to watch it then u will not repent your decision.


PARANORMAL ACTIVITY  –
oh boy, what do I say about this movie, the best one(horror) I have ever seen, may not say the scariest ever (it would not be wrong if I say that too) but at least THE horror movie that comes in my mind more often. I have always loved the ‘hand held camera’ movies do u remember – ‘The Blair Witch Project’ well that was almost 2 years back and i became a fan of such movies…and now similar concept…I would highly recommend it give 4.5 out of 5 stars !! It gives sleep walking a new meaning – sleep standing 🙂


KURBAAN –


First I thought it would be like ‘New York’ but it was more than that, in fact much more…much better, roles played by right attitude, no lingering of characters, hit right,to the point dialogues. Not that Saif-Kareena took all the camera footage, the roles were divided with justification. Hard hitting messages many times inbetween. Vivek Oberio was the biggest surprise, he did a marvellous job. Remember ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ – he is proving himself to be good at such roles….Dia Mirza looked like chocolate 🙂
