Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana Review

The title of this movie could have been better, for all you know vegetarian folks may not watch it! 🙂 Did you know this movie was originally supposed to be a Punjabi movie but was changed later, guess they forgot to change the title! Having said that, this title conveys exactly what this movie is all about.

LSTCK has a very good heart but with a run time of slightly more than 2 hours, this movie was a stretch, an hour and half would have been ideal.

Omi (Kunal Kapoor) comes back home from London only to snatch some money and run (so that he could pay off all dues which he took from a Don). He did the same thing 10 years back when he left the very same family and ran to London to live life king size. How his life takes turns between his love  life, family life with that constant sword hanging on his head to return that money, is a very funny ride.

At times the flow is not that fast but the story line is very cute. Huma Qureshi looks fat and Kunal Kapoor acts like a new comer, but with the supporting actors like  Rajesh Sharma (Titu mama) and the chachiji (Seema Kaushal) whose favorite line is – ‘bakwaas na kar Titu’, LSTCK is very light hearted comedy. The dialogues are well written and makes you laugh and giggle all the time. Same movie in a shorter duration would have been a killer combo.

The funniest dialogue I found was when Jeet was asked his underwear size, he says – ’85 tight, 90 loose’. There are many such laughable moments.
Not that it is highly recommended for you to watch it in a multiplex, you can even wait for it to appear on one of the TV channels. These days, anyways all new movies showcase on TV within a month or so, hence.

I go with 2.5/5 for Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana. From the makers of ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ and ‘Dev D’, I was expecting moooooore.
