Yesterday I was at Shoppers Stop to do something am not really good at – Shopping offline.
Most of the things I buy these days are online but for somethings you got to buy it from a shop, till the time technology develops further.
So here I was shopping. After I picked up trousers and shirts, I picked up a wallet. None other than Tommy Hilfiger worth Rs.3200. After getting the billing done, I came back to the counter to collect my product. I was handed over the wallet with a hole in it! Yeah baby.
I was not told about it and I noticed only because I was curious to start using it. When I pointed out the hole, I was told that it happens because of the security tag pinned in!! And that too, it was told as a passing remark. Like I have to live with it weather I like it or not.
I pity common sense here. The merchandise manager is ready to damage a product in the name of security. Am sure there are ways in which you can secure a product without damaging it. Phew, this sounds so illogical. How did you expect anyone to buy a damaged product?
I immediately took the matter to the customer care division and within few minutes I was handed over a refund receipt. Only when I read it carefully I realised it was a credit note valid for 6 months.
This irritated me even more. I should not be forced to come back here only even when I was ready to buy the product at the first place but you goofed up!
After a minor discussion I was given a full refund.
Disclosure: I love Shoppers Stop. I have been shopping here for more than a decade now. I even shop at their e-commerce site – mostly for gifting. I have no complain against them, I would only like to point out that they need to STOP punching holes in wallets!
Thank you for reading.
